A spokesperson said: “We are delighted to be opening in Blackburn along a very busy stretch of road. It is a great spot for us and we hope to bring something different to the town. It has been tough for many local businesses and hope the coming months will be better for restaurants and takeaways.

“We do that the people of Blackburn will give us a try.”

Rajas is famous in Yorkshire for their range of freshly baked pizzas such as the ‘Chicken Balti’ and ‘Keema Achar’. They also sell cheese samosas, signature grilled chicken and masala fish.

The ground floor of the building which was formerly a second-hand shop has been renovated inside and out.

The spokesperson added: “The modern look will complement the other great businesses that are opening in Blackburn. It is our hometown and we are really proud of the number of new restaurants and cafes that have been launched in the past few years.”
