Two Hyndburn pubs have closed as staff have been asked to self-isolate.
Duckworth Hall Inn in Oswaldtwistle will be closed until July 6, while the Fort Arms in Clayton-le-Moors has closed until next weekend due to them being in contact with a positive case, however the staff members of concern have since tested negative for Covid -19.
A spokesperson for Duckworth Hall Inn said: “It’s with a heavy heart that we have to let you know we will be closing the pub until 6th July, due to staff members having to self-isolate.
“We are very sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, but we have to put the safety of all of our team and customers first.”
On social media, a spokesperson for the Fort Arms said: “Unfortunately the pub will be closed till next weekend.
“This is because a couple of us here have to self-isolate, after some close friends tested positive for Covid-19.
“We have had negative test results at the pub ourselves, but nevertheless we have been instructed that we must still self-isolate.
“Better safe than sorry.”
The Fort Arms has been contacted for further comment.
