A headteacher has received a national award for her dedication to her school.
Sarah White, headteacher of Coates Lane Primary School in Barnoldswick, has received a 'Certificate of Excellence' for 'Headteacher of the year in a Primary School'.
Mrs White has been working at the school for 14 years and said that the role is more than just a job to her.
She said: "I am absolutely honoured and delighted to be nominated for this award.
"It’s heart-warming to be recognised for something that I love to do.
"I appreciate the sentiment and am proud to be the Headteacher of such a wonderful school."
The award, which is presented by Pearson National Teaching Awards celebrates the work teachers do to make a difference in their school and community.
Earlier this year, the headteacher hit the headlines after penning a heart-felt letter to parents, admitting even she as a headteacher was struggling with home-schooling.
The letter also told Coates Lane parents they were “doing a great job", with Sarah saying her main motivation to pen the letter was to say "Well done! You are surviving a pandemic!"
The Pearson Teaching Awards Trust was established in 1998 by David, Lord Puttnam CBE, as a means of recognising and celebrating excellence in education.
