Fire: The blaze broke out on Whinney Hill Road, Altham
A WASTE fire broke out at a landfill site run by Suez earlier today, requiring four fire engines to tackle it.
Firefighters from Hyndburn, Blackburn and Great Harwood were called to the scene on Whinney Hill Road, Altham at around 10.50am on Thursday June 24.
There they used hand held jets and an onsite water bowser to extinguish the fire.
No injuries have been reported.
