Michael John Trickett, of Aspen Lane, Oswaldtwistle, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family, after a bravely fought battle with cancer on May 27.

He also, worked as a manager at Tilcon/Trumix, also drove HGVs for a time and later worked at Lancashire County Council in the Operations Department before taking his retirement.

He helped spread the word about the support available, as well as campaigning for patients living with dementia to have tailored treatment in hospital, using the Butterfly Scheme. He was also a member and supporter of his local Royal British Legion Branch of Church and Oswaldtwistle.

He was a devoted and beloved husband of the late Norma, a loving father of Michelle, Jeanette, Maxine and Joanne, a dear father in law of Michael and Anthony and a much loved grandfather and great grandfather.
