A man who narrowly missed a police car whilst over the legal alcohol limit has been disqualified from driving for 21 months.

Shahbaz Rashid, aged 30 of The Crescent, Colne, was disqualified from driving ordered to pay a £346 fine, £85 costs & a £35 victim surcharge.

Rashid was driving a BMW and was stopped in Colne in May having nearly hit a police car head on.

After admitting having had six pints and two shots he blew 90 and was arrested.

At the time he had told police he 'just wanted to give a mate a lift home'.
