Police who stopped a vehicle with false plates in Rossendale found a large bag of drugs.
Officers said they were made aware yesterday evening (June 14) of a vehicle on cloned plates entering Rossendale.
The incident unfolded at Tup Bridge at around 6pm when police stopped the vehicle at which point the occupants abandoned the vehicle and fled the scene.
An immediate search of the area located one male who was arrested after a large bag of controlled drugs was located nearby.
The 18-year-old male from the Manchester area remains in custody whilst enquiries continue.
