A HAIRDRESSER has appointed a new salon director who has been tasked with leading the firm’s expansion plans.

Kersey Hairdressing, of Grimsargh, is one of the region’s largest hairdressers and serves customers from all over the Ribble Valley and Preston districts.

Jane Devlin, 35 from Blackpool, has now been appointed as the firm’s first ever salon director having started her career as a trainee before going on to qualify as a stylist and going on to manage a number of salons across the UK.

She said: “I was quickly attracted to joining Kersey Hairdressing.

“It’s a fabulous, very well appointed salon in a great location, surrounded by lots of new housing development which means there’s huge scope to attract new clients.”

Kersey Hairdressing was opened in Grimsargh in 1996 by John Kersey, who had already build up a large chain of hairdressers across the region.

With 50 years of hairdressing experience behind him, Mr Kersey has now been based at the Grimsargh branch for over 20 years.

Ms Devlin said: “John and his team have done an exceptional job over the years, laying fantastic foundations which I hope to now build on, making the salon not just somewhere people come for a haircut but for an experience too.”

Mr Kersey hopes that his new appointee will be the ideal fit to take the business forward, especially after the pandemic crisis of the previous year and a half. which has been particularly hard on salons.

He said: “Our salon is one of the largest in Lancashire, and has been a central feature in Grimsargh for 25 years, attracting long-standing, prized clients from across the county and beyond.

“I look forward to watching Jane enhance our appeal even further, and am excited about the changes Kersey Hairdressing will undergo with her help.”
