A boxer has raised £7,243 by flipping a car non-stop for a day.

Bill Hodgson took on the latest gruelling challenge in stifling heat raising funds for a number of Lancashire charities.

These include the Blackburn Rovers Community Trust, Lancashire Mind, Donna’s Dream House, New Start, ACE and UR Potential.

In addition to this, money raised will assist 8-year-old Malachy Spriggs who suffers from several life-limiting conditions. The team want to buy an off-road buggy so he can visit the countryside.

Lancashire Telegraph:

In a statement Bill’s team said: “We've had quite a few new donations over the past few hours, taking the total above £7,000, so a massive thanks for that. Thanks again to everyone that has supported Bill, from the people who donated, to the businesses that sponsored.

“Huge thanks to everyone that has donated over the past few hours, they include Becky Bewley, Carrie Gibney, Laura Taynton, Justin and Debbie, Amy Shelliker, Paul Robinson, Paul Matthew John, Darryll, Dan”

Bill is managing director at Praetorian Security Solutions and also a boxer and last June flipped a large tyre for 24 hours at Kirkham Business Park.

During Christmas, Bill raised £60,000 by pulling a sleigh 26 miles. He dedicated the fundraiser to security guard and friend Dave Purcell who had passed away just when the challenge was due to begin.
