A HOUSEBUILDER is sponsoring the build of a primary school's new library.

Barrow URC primary school’s new library will be getting a £200 contribution from Miller Homes.

This comes after the school recently took part in Miller Homes’ ‘Design Your Dream Home’ colouring competition to celebrate the launch of two new show homes at Clitheroe development, Montague Place.

Miller Homes sponsored the pupils who, in May, took part in a whole school challenge called ‘Pendle Hill Extreme Read’, in which they walked all the way to the top of Pendle Hill and read a chapter from their favourite book at the top.

The contribution will help support the library building project and provide new books for the pupils.

As a sponsor, Barrow UTC primary school will recognise Miller Homes on a plaque in the school library when complete.

Clare Noakes, Sales Director for Miller Homes in the North West said: “We are busy supporting the Clitheroe community wherever we can as we build Montague Place, and we’re delighted to be able to support Barrow URC and the fantastic fundraising efforts of their pupils for their new library.”

Sue Taylor, Headteacher of Barrow URC primary said: “I am so grateful for the kind donation from Miller Homes for our school library. We’ve all worked very hard to build a great reading space for our children, and their support will go a long way.”

Montague Place is an exciting new development located in the heart of Clitheroe. It will feature a total of 110 new homes, consisting of two-bed bungalows, and three-and four-bedroom houses. Two show homes, the Maplewood and the Overton, launched at the development recently.

Barrow URC primary is located just 10 minutes from Montague Place.

You can book an appointment to speak to a Miller Homes sales representative or view the show homes on the Miller Homes website, or by calling 03330 600 059.
