A NEW restaurant and bar has been forced to close its doors after the majority of its staff were told to self-isolate.
Bosses at The Aviary in Whalley have confirmed they won’t be able to reopen for more than a week following the set-back.
The new Ribble Valley hotspot only opened its doors to the public in May after £120,000 was spent on renovating the premises.
It is now hoped that the restaurant will reopen on June 18.
A spokesman said: “The majority of our team have been contacted by NHS Track & Trace with a notification to self isolate.
“Therefore we have made the responsible decision to close our premises and ensure a deep clean is carried out before we re-open! This is the last thing we wanted to do but the safety of our customers and staff is our main priority.
“If you have a booking this weekend - we'll be in touch with you today.
“Thank you for understanding and we'll see you all soon!”
