A 29-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a spate of burglaries.
In May, officers in Bacup say they had received reports of several burglaries on shop premises in the town centre.
Following a number of enquiries, police arrested a 29-year-old from Bacup on Saturday morning on suspicion of the offences.
On Saturday a spokesperson for the police said: "In May we had a couple of burglaries on shop premises reported to us in Bacup town centre.
"Rossendale’s Rural Task Force have followed up enquires in relation to these and this morning they arrested a 29-year-old man from Bacup on suspicion of having committed these burglaries.
"He is currently on his way to custody to be dealt with."
