A ROAD has been reponed after being closed while police dealt with a 'dangerous structure' this afternoon.

Officers first announced that a stretch of Cog Lane, Burnley was closed at round 5.40pm.

The road was closed between Venice Street and Harold Street.

Firefighters were also called to the scene where they removed a 'dangerous structure' and remained at the scene for just under an hour.

Police issued an update saying that the road had been reopened at around 7.30pm.
