A POPULAR Instagram mum has launched a podcast to encourage women to support each other — after becoming a victim of online trolls.

Lauren Elizabeth, from Rawtenstall, started the podcast called Nip, Tuck, Not giving a F*** with her best friend and colleague Ashley Stobart, from Hale.

The two mums, both 31, work in cosmetic surgery and advocate for safe options on their social media as well as a look into their daily lives, which has seen Miss Elizabeth rack up over 21,000 followers on Instagram.

After finding themselves the target of online abuse on gossip website Tattle Life, they wanted to create a healthy environment to discuss the toxic ways in which some women address others.

Lancashire Telegraph:

Miss Elizabeth said: “There were horrible comments of people making assumptions about me and my life.

“Ashley and I spoke about it and said these were women that were writing this, but women should be supporting each other.

“We wanted an outlet to discuss this, so we started the podcast, which is all about defying stereotypes.”

The pilot was released on May 19 and reached the top 10 of trending podcasts as well as number two in the social category, just behind Ricky Gervais.

On it, the two friends open up about their lives and what websites like Tattle Life do for women.

Miss Elizabeth said: “If you are a good mother, you have to behave a certain way and make organic smoothies, but if you wanted to be attractive, then you can’t be a good mother at the same time. We want to break down these barriers.

“It’s about saying what you want without caring about the opinions of others.”

Mrs Stobart is married to a millionaire while working in cosmetics, while Miss Elizabeth is a single mum to her three-year-old daughter.

Working in the cosmetic surgery field, both women advocate safe procedures and shun negativity around having work done, encouraging women to be open.

Miss Elizabeth said: “If you say you have had cosmetic surgery done, you get put in a closed box, there’s just so many horrible comments on women who decide to do it and for no reason.

“But, if you are going to do it, then be open and say you have. Let’s not teach girls that you did it naturally and they can look like that without help.

“Ashley says that being natural doesn’t make you better, it’s a personal choice.”
