A COCKERMOUTH woman has been given a 29-month driving ban after she was convicted of driving offences - including failing to provide a blood specimen when asked to do so by police.
Catherine Jenkinson, 44, denied the offence but was found guilty after a trial.
The charge said the test was needed because she was suspected of an offence.
At Carlisle's Rickergate court, magistrates heard that she committed the offence on December 7 last year in Workington.
The defendant, of Sullart Street, Cockermouth, also denied driving a Citroen on the A66 at Stainburn at 12.15am on that day with no valid insurance. She was convicted of that offence also.
Jenkinson admitted driving a vehicle when its tyre tread on the front nearside wheel was less than the required 1.6mm depth. After hearing details, magistrates imposed a six month electronically monitored curfew.
The defendant must also pay £620 costs, as well as a £95 victim surcharge.
