Firearm: Armed police were called into action in Darwen
ARMED police were called into action this afternoon after reports a man was seen with a suspected firearm.
Lancashire Police confirmed that their armed unit was called to Bolton Road, Darwen opposite Mangiamo Ristorante at around 1.10pm on Friday May 14.
The A666 was blocked after police put a cordon in place and searched the area.
However, following a search of the area, no man or firearm was found.
