A man has appeared in court charged with assault after an incident on a train station.
The incident, which police believe was domestic violence-related, occurred at Blackpool North train station on Saturday.
It is thought the man committed the assault on the station and then left the area on a train heading in the direction of Preston.
He was subsequently arrested at Preston train station and following interview and enquiries was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm.
A spokesperson for the British Transport Police said: "A domestic violence related assault occurred at Blackpool North on Saturday.
"The offender left on a train, and was arrested at Preston Station.
"He was subsequently charged with assault (Actual Bodily Harm) and remanded in custody for court today."
