THE driver of a Range Rover who thought that they would be fit to drive the morning after drinking was later arrested after crashing into a car with three children inside.

Police officers were called to the M55 on Sunday following reports of an incident.

A Range Rover, driven by someone who later blew over the limit for alcohol, had hit a Toyota, forcing it into the barrier and injuring three children inside.

The Range Rover driver was arrested.

A spokesman said: “T1TacOps attended an RTC on the M55 today. The driver of the Range Rover thought they would be fit to drive after drinking last night. They were wrong. They hit the white Toyota causing it to hit the barrier injuring 3 children inside. Driver arrested and has blown 76.”
