A ROUTINE stop on a vehicle resulted in a man being arrested for drug driving.

Officers in the Ribble Valley pulled over a black Golf on Saturday night, searching the driver.

He was found to be in possession of cannabis and later tested positive for the Class B drug during a test.

A police spokesman said: “Routine stop on a vehicle believed to be linked to drugs possession and supply. The driver was searched and found to be in possession of cannabis. He also provided a positive test for cannabis and was arrested for drug driving. This is a direct result of information provided by the public and police acting upon this.”
