HERE’S a photograph which shows how times have changed.
Taken in 1990, Circus Fiesta had set up its Big Top at Edisford Bridge during the summer holidays for a series of family shows and one of the biggest attractions (literally) was Tina the Indian elephant.
Eight-year-old Emily Cottington helped Tina to cool down as the sun shone in the Ribble Valley.
As well as an elephant the show boasted a display by the Liberty Ponies and one of the star attractions was its Royal Bengal Tigers.
Concerns about animal welfare have seen most circuses dropping all their animal acts these days but this picture was only taken just over 30 years ago.
