Police are growing more and more concerned about a woman who has gone missing from home.

On Thursday, Amanda Guy, 40, went missing from her home in Oswaldtwistle at about 10am.

She has not been seen since.

Officers are now asking for anyone who may have seen Amanda to get in touch with them as soon as possible.

A spokesperson for the police said: "We are becoming increasingly concerned about the welfare of 40-year-old Amanda Guy, who is missing from her home in Oswaldtwistle.

"She was last seen near her home in the Oswaldtwistle area at around 10am on Thursday.

"Amanda is described as 5ft 6in with short black spiky hair and of a medium build.

"We are now concerned for her welfare and are appealing for your help to find Amanda."

Police are also asking to share the missing person details on social media to try and help locate Amanda as soon as possible.
