Sylvia Bidder (nee Sayer) passed away peacefully at home aged 82 years on April 2.
She was much-loved mum to Jeannette, Kathryn and John, and proud grandma to her seven grandchildren.
She was originally from Rawtenstall but later moved to Bradshaw in 1962 when she married Ian.
Daughter Kathryn said: "She worked for a while at Bromley Cross Post Office, Longsight green grocers and later loved owning her green grocer’s shop on Bradshaw Brow.
"Sylvia enjoyed being a member of St Maxentius Mother’s Union, the WI and Bradshaw Bowling Club, and was supportive of her local community.
"She appreciated having such wonderful neighbours and friends of many years and she had fond memories of walking from Rigby Lane to St Maxentius Primary School with her children."
