THREE boroughs across East Lancashire have recorded falls in the coronavirus infection rate, while two have reported slight increases.

The figures, for the seven days to April 23, are based on the number of people who have tested positive for Covid-19 in either a lab-reported or rapid lateral flow test, by specimen date and show that Hyndburn, Pendle and Rossendale have all recorded a fall in their infection rates.

Blackburn with Darwen, Burnley and the Ribble Valley meanwhile have all recorded increases, however rates remain low across the region.
