Mindless vandals have smashed up a toilet at a golf course causing the whole block to flood.
On Saturday evening, the toilets at Rossendale Golf Course were broken into, with one of the toilet basins completely wrecked and smashed to pieces.
Not only did this put the toilet out of action but it also meant that the whole block flooded.
A spokesperson for the police said the incident came after youth anti-social behaviour was reported to officers earlier in the weekend.
The spokesperson said: "Last night entry has been gained to the toilets on Rossendale Golf Course and damage was caused to the toilet.
"Not only have they completely ruined the toilet they also caused the whole block to be flooded.
"This comes after numerous reports of anti-social behaviour by youths in the area.
"The Haslingden and Helmshore Neighbourhood Policing Team will continue to patrol the area.
"If anyone has any information they can email 3772@lancashire.pnn.police.uk."
