ANOTHER new tenant has taken up space at a £100million business park development.

AluFold Direct who specialise in supplying bespoke aluminium bi-fold doors and windows have taken 70,000 square feet at Frontier Park on the Hyndburn/Blackburn border.

The new unit is in addition to the company's existing base in Philips Road in Blackburn.

The announcement by letting agent Trevor Dawson follows the revelation that Padiham-based transport firm Fagan and Whalley taking up a new 200,000 sq ft warehouse and distribution depot at Frontier Park.

The development, managed by Monte Blackburn Ltd owned by the town's billionaire Issa brother, is now almost fully let.

Caroline James, managing director of Trevor Dawson, said: “These latest lettings demonstrate the quality of the location and the high specification build by the developers who had the foresight to build out the scheme speculatively.

“This brings the total build to date of over 900,000 sq. ft. which is fully let with tenants including MDA, Tek-Dry Systems Ltd, Royal Sanders UK and Cinnabon.

"In addition, at the entrance to the site on the Whitebirk Junction 6 roundabout the Hampton by Hilton and petrol filling station/'Drive thrus' are trading above expectations.

"The last phase of 230,000 sq. ft. is under construction and already 160,000 sq. ft. of that is pre-let.

"There remains only 70,000 sq. ft. available ready for occupation at the turn of the year. The turnaround for this site is phenomenal and unprecedented in the North-West, taking just over four years to build out creating significant employment and inward investment to the area.”
