Nelson and Colne College is holding an online Open Event for year 8, 9 and 10 pupils this month.

With restrictions still enforced, the College will hold the online event which will take place between 6pm and 8pm on Tuesday, April 27.

Attendees can expect an immersive online experience which will include high quality virtual tours of the College campus and facilities and a welcome from Principal Amanda Melton CBE.

There will be a wide range of course information to explore across the College’s broad range of study options, from A Levels to Vocational programmes and Apprenticeships to newly-launched T Level qualifications.

Momina Atique, 19, formerly of Pendle Vale College, achieved A*AA in Biology, Chemistry and Mathematics at Nelson and Colne College and progressed on to the University of Manchester to study Biomedical Sciences.

Momina said: “I really enjoyed College and I made great progress in my A Levels, developing a better understanding of my subject areas.”

Megan Reeder, 18, formerly of Park High School, achieved A* in her Health and Social Care qualification and is now studying Adult Nursing at Edge Hill University.

Megan said: “College is great – I have met lots of different people and have been given the opportunity to develop myself in lessons and through extracurricular activities.”
