Fire chiefs have issued a warning after a number of bins, bits of furniture and areas of vegetation were set on fire by children.
Last week, crews from Darwen fire station attended several fires that had been deliberately set by teenagers.
Bosses from the station say that the inconvenience of attending such nuisance incidents ties up resources and prevents them from being able to attend potentially life-threatening fires or accidents.
In addition, they are warning that these kind of fires, despite appearing small, can escalate rapidly and become dangerous to people and property.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "The other evening our crew attended several fires that had been set by youths, including waste bins, house furniture and vegetation.
"While we are at these fires we can't attend life threatening incidents.
"Please educate your friends and family about this before someone gets hurt.

"These small fires can easily escalate and become dangerous to people and property.
"Please stay safe by not engaging in this type of behaviour."
Firefighters from @darwen_fire recently dealt with several nuisance #fires involving bins, furniture and vegetation.
