AREAS of Bolton experience a covering of snow this morning as the UK experiences an April freeze.
Stunning photos have captured snow in rural areas, as the Met Office issued a yellow warning of snow and ice last night, which was in place until 8am this morning.
There is still a risk of icy conditions on untreated roads and drivers are being urged to remain cautious.
Snow at Rivington Pike was photographed in the morning sun by the Pike Snack Shack.
Meanwhile RedEarth Equestrian Centre on Plantation Road have shared photos of the snowfall.
The riding school have had to cancel a dressage event.
Turton Golf Club have also woken up to snowy scenes.
The weather is expected to turn milder next week.
