ONE of Blackburn's most prominent accountancy firms has announced a major boost to the business with 15 new clients joining.

PM+M, based on Greenbank Technology Park, Challenge Way, says that the new clients operate across a wide variety of sectors including wholesale distributors, insurance brokers, IT firms, construction specialists, manufacturers, and solicitors.

The companies include F D Sims, Cultura, Metrol Springs and Customs Connect, which will be working with the Blackburn accountants' audit, accounting and advisory team.

PM}+M partner Helen Clayton said: “Despite all the challenges the pandemic has thrown up, the past few months has been a strong period of growth for the firm.

"This is down to the hard-work, dedication, quality, and professionalism of our team who quickly adapted to remote working and embraced new technologies.

She added: “These new wins are testament to our collective efforts and our focus is now adding value to our new clients as well as to our existing and much valued portfolio, especially as developing strong and lasting relationships with our clients is central to everything we do.”

Winning over these new clients comes after a series of ambitious moves by the firm that has seen taking on new staff members and unveiling new partnerships despite the challenges that the coronavirus pandemic has posed to businesses all over the country, particularly in East Lancashire, which has been hit particularly hard by the virus.

As lockdown eases however, businesses across all kinds of different sectors will be in the market for advice on how to adjust to the new economic climate.

In this case, PM+M says that it will be providing a variety of services from auditing, assurance, advisory and tax, including VAT advisory due to the impact of Brexit, to employer matters and payroll services.

Cultura European finance director Debbie Riley said: “Our audit has been great so PM+M is now definitely our partner of choice going forward.”
