WITH thick cloud looming overhead, this wonderfully atmospheric photograph shows a view looking down Shear Brow in Blackburn in 1967.
At this time it’s interesting to note that the whole road was still paved with setts along its length. You can also just make out the outline of one of the ornate street lights on the right hand side of the street. And in the background, note how many mill chimneys there are to be seen.
