A group of men were seen trying car door handles last night as police appeal to residents to be on their guard.

The men were seen at about 8.50pm last night (March 26) getting out of a silver Vauxhall Vectra on Griffin Close in Burnley.

After they got out of the car, they were seen 'acting suspiciously' and trying car door handles of all the vehicles in the area.

PCSO Lee Tyler said: "We're asking people to be on their guard after a group of males in a car were seen acting suspiciously in the Griffin Close area of Burnley.

"The vehicle was seen at around 8:50pm on Friday 26th March entering the area, the males who were on board then got out and were seen trying car door handles of all the vehicles in the area.

"The vehicle that the males were in was a silver Vauxhall Vectra; if you have also seen this vehicle in suspicious circumstances or you have any information you think could help us, please call us on 101 quoting log reference LC-20210326-1530."
