A waste fire has damaged a kitchen window and some guttering at a home in Nelson.
Fire crews were called at about 4.45pm this afternoon to a house fire on Smith Street after a large amount of waste was burning behind the home.
The fire took over an hour to put out and crews used one hose reel to extinguish the flames.
A spokesperson for the fire service said: "At 16:42 on 27th March, two fire engines from Nelson attended a domestic building fire on Smith Street, Nelson. The fire involved a large amount of waste at the rear of the property which affected a kitchen window and some guttering.
"Firefighters used one hose reel to extinguish the fire. They were in attendance for one hour and twenty minutes."
