A FORMER teacher has appeared in court charged with allegations of assault on a teenage boy.
David Warburton, of Fields Road, Haslingden, was last month charged with indecent assault relating to historical offences by Greater Manchester Police.
The 72-year-old appeared at Manchester and Salford Magistrates' Court on Wednesday where his case was sent to the Crown Court. He will appear there on April 21.
In January 2020, police received a report of a sexual offences against a teenage boy in the 1980s.
