THE body of a man was found near a beauty spot this morning.

Emergency services were called to the scene on Rowley Lane in Burnley at 6.46am.

A police spokesman said: "We were called to Rowley Lane, Burnley, at 6.46am today (March 23) to reports of a sudden death.

"Emergency services have attended and, sadly, a man has been found dead.

"His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed onto HM Coroner in due course."
