Three people were seriously hurt and a road closed for six hours after a crash between two motorbikes.
A 19-year-old woman had to be airlifted to hospital with serious injuries after the bike she was riding pillion on collided with two other bikes on Sunday afternoon.
Two men, who were also on motorbikes, suffered serious injuries, but none thought to be life threatening.
The crash happened in the Trough of Bowland on Trough Road near to Marshaw.
A spokesperson for the police said: "We were initially called at around 2.20pm to reports of a collision between two motorcycles and a car – a BMW and a Kawasaki, and a white Honda motorcycle, on the Trough Road near to Marshaw.
"A 19-year-old woman, who was the pillion passenger on one of the motorbikes, suffered serious injuries and was flown to hospital in the air ambulance.
"Two men, also on motorbikes, suffered serious injuries.
"Thankfully none of their injuries are life-threatening.
"The road was closed for around six hours while specialist collision investigators attended."
Anybody with information about the collision, or who saw the bikes or the car in the moments before it happened, are asked to call 101, quoting log 835 of March 21.
