Road closed as emergency services deal with house fire in Bacup
A road was closed in both directions this morning in Bacup due to a house fire.
New Line (A6066) in Bacup was closed between Lane End Road and Cobden Street. It has now been re-opened.
Four fire engines from Bacup and Rawtenstall were called to the fire in a mid-terraced house.
Firefighters used four breathing apparatus, two hose reels and an aerial ladder platform from Preston to bring the fire under control. No injuries have been reported.
Police had urged anyone travelling through the area this morning to find alternative routes.
