A man has been arrested after police raided a property yesterday morning.
Officers from the Pendle Taskforce, neighbourhood police team and with the support from the dog unit executed a warrant at an address on Canal Mews in Nelson.
A substantial amount of crack cocaine and heroin which has an estimated street value of more than £2000 was recovered.
A police spokesman said: "Officers have worked tirelessly throughout the day and evening conducting enquiries and interviewing.
"The crown prosecution have since been consulted and James Norwood age 51 has been charged with possession with intent to supply crack cocaine and heroin and will be remanded in custody.
“We urge the community to report drug dealing as this type of crime can ruin lives, fuel other crime, such as violence and disorders and can instil fear in our neighbourhoods, we are determined to tackle this by working with the community.
