AN INDEPENDENT wine and beer shop is bringing natural wines that had previously only been available in London to new customers.

It’s Alive, a curated online wine and beer shop, is run by Tami Doncic and Jamie Haighety from their studio in Rawtenstall.

The pair set up their venture in October 2020 when they noticed a gap in the market for natural wines and beers in the North West and are offering collection from their studio as well as deliveries across the BB4 area and most of Greater Manchester.

Ms Doncic said: “We were looking at premises from where we could run our business from and we were looking at places that had the best transport links.

“We went to Rawtenstall to visit the market and we just saw this place and really liked it!”

The business founders say that they hope to make the very best variates of natural wine and beer available to all, with the unfined and unfiltered methods they use making their products vegan friendly.

Red and white wines are available, along with sparkling while beers include lagers, stouts and wild ales.

Mixed boxes, bundles and gift boxes are also available.

Ms Docic said: “Our selection is curated by us and constantly changing, we work with a huge range of independent natural and low intervention wine importers to ensure we are constantly bringing the best of the best to the North West.

“Our offering focuses on natural and low-intervention drinks and foods from small, independent producers.”

Ms Doncic and Mr Haighety are also both filmmakers and hope to use their skills to build collaborations with other northern artists and brands in order to expand It’s Alive beyond the wine market later this year.

As well as collections for customers around Rossendale and beyond, deliveries are available to Greater Manchester six days a week.
