Gritters: Blackburn with Darwen Council has warned people to look out for frosty roads
GRITTERS have been out in force in Blackburn with Darwen this evening.
This comes as the weather once again turns cooler after a recent warmer spell.
Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council has warned that temperatures will be sub-zero between 9pm on Thursday and 8am on Friday with possible frost and occasional icy patches on the roads.
However, no snow has been forecast with the weather set to become drier and increasingly clear overnight.
Nevertheless drivers have been warned to remain alert to the dangers of frosty roads.
