A ROAD has been closed due to a crash that left several people injured and at least one car badly damaged.
The crash involved two cars, one of which appears to have hit a wall, on Peter Street in Blackburn.
Police reported the collision, just off Whalley Old Road at around 7.45pm
The road is currently closed to traffic as officers carry out an investigation, with the occupants taken to hospital to assess their injuries.
A police spokesperson said: "At this time we would advise anyone travelling through the area to seek alternative routes as the road is likely to remain closed for some time."
The injured occupants are currently being checked over in hospital with officers not yet able to comment on the status of their injuries.
