After a winter in lockdown, Brits across the UK are looking forward to getting out.

And with international travel restrictions still in place, many are staying close to home - causing a projected boom in UK Staycations in 2021.

Visit Britain projects a recovery to £61.7billion in domestic tourism spending in 2021, up 79 per cent compared to 2020.

Lancashire Telegraph:

Reflecting on the findings, Holland’s managing director Mark Holland said: “If lockdown has shown us anything, it’s that green spaces and good company are essential for our mental health and wellbeing.

"We hope this research will help the public explore the British countryside and find some truly hidden gems.

"We also hope that it will help highlight truly amazing country pubs that are often the heart and soul of their community."
