Collision: The incident occured on Billinge End Road, Blackburn
A COLLISION left a road in Blackburn blocked earlier this afternoon.
Two engines from Blackburn fire station arrived at the scene on Billinge End Road at around 3.50pm on Saturday February 27 to find the incident had left a vehicle overturned and blocking the carriageway.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the small fire that had started using a hose reel.
They then made the scene safe using straps, slings and cutting equipment and were able to reopen the road.
The crews remained at the scene for around an hour.
Fortunately no serious injuries were reported.
