YOUTHS in Burnley town centre have reportedly damaged flower beds and fences for the third night running.

According to police the damage was done around St James Street and the Mall.

Some of the youths have now been indentified but officers have also appealed to parents to help them keep order in the area.

A police spokesperson said: "This is something which will need to fixed and isn't cheap to do so.

"A group of young children have been identified and will be dealt with by means of restorative justice.

"Along with a breach of Covid 19 regulations and fines can be issued to the parents of offending children.

"Parents, do you know where your children are, help us to help you, by monitoring your children's activities."

Residents who are concerned can report issues by calling police on 101.
