THERE have been eight more deaths from coronavirus in East Lancashire Hospitals, according to the latest figures.
The statistics from NHS England show that the trust, which operates Royal Blackburn Hospital and Burnley General Hospitals, had two deaths on February 19, two on Feburary 20, two on February 21 and another two on February 22.
It means that 982 people had passed away at the trust after being diagnosed with the virus since the start of the pandemic.
Elsewhere, the Lancashire Teaching Hospitals had one more coronavirus death, while there were two at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals.
Latest figures show that there were 36 deaths in the North West and a further 302 people nationally, who tested positive for the Coronavirus (Covid-19) had died, bringing the total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England to 82,156.
