CORONAVIRUS infection rates are increasing in two areas of Ribble Valley but are falling in the rest.
Analysis of the Government’s Covid-19 infections map shows that the rate has increased in two places while everywhere else has recorded a dip in new cases and infections.
Of the places with a decreased rate, Waddington, Gisburn and Slaidburn currently has the lowest infection rate, after new eight cases in the seven days to February 13 saw the area’s infection rate drop to 109.8 cases per 100,000 people.
Wilpshire and Mellor has seen this highest increase in its infection rate with 14 new infections taking the rolling rate to 162.8 cases per 100,000 people, a 100 per cent rise of the week before.
All information displays a localised seven–day rolling rate of new cases up to 13 February 2021 and is correct per the Government’s coronavirus portal on February 19.
