Britain’s largest family are back with a new series and will be returning to our television screens.

The Channel 5 show documents the lives of the Radfords, a Morecambe family who are welcoming their 22nd child, Heidie, into the home.

As well as their own children, parents Noel and Sue also have to contend with their six grandchildren (and four dogs), as they try to navigate the trials and tribulations of having such a mammoth family.

This time, they have the added challenge of surviving lockdown and homeschooling on mass as it was filmed after the pandemic hit.

There will be four episodes in total and they are each 60 minutes long.

Noel and Sue Radford say: “We’re so pleased to be bringing the new series to Channel 5.

“This time, things were a little different. Coronavirus meant that our lives were turned upside down and, instead of a nice summer holiday, we had to do everything at home. There was no escape!

“Of course, things did not always go smoothly and in this series, you will see everything that goes on in our busy home. Just don’t get us started on that teen party or what it means to home school so many kids!”

In this series, Noel and Sue will have to deal with house parties, home-schooling en masse, and Noel’s attempts to try and pay for it all.

Episode one airs on Monday (22 February) and starts off with a bang, as Sue prepares to give birth to their 22nd child… just as the nation goes into lockdown.

Now more than ever, the house must be run like a military operation and everyone must help out to keep the home in order while mum gives birth.

Breadwinner, Noel, is facing challenges of his own as he tries to stay on top of homeschooling all while his successful pie business faces closure.

It’s up to daughter, Chloe, to get the company back on track and bring it back into the 21st century.

Nick Catliff, Executive Producer and Chief Content Officer, Lion TV says: “We first started filming with the Radfords eight years ago when they already had 15 children.

"For this series we were there when Sue gave birth to baby number twenty-two, Noel turned 50, younger ones went to school for the first time and teenagers made plans to leave home.

“It’s been quite a year and throughout everything Noel, Sue and all the kids carried on smiling and enjoying what it means to be Britain’s biggest family.”

If you can’t wait for the new series to air, you can also keep up to date with their family on their Instagram page.

Over there, they document the latest arrivals of the family and also give their followers regular updates about how they are finding life in lockdown.

The new series of 22 Kids and Counting will air 9pm Monday 22 February on Channel 5.
