A TEAROOM owner is looking to break the lockdown boredom for children this half-term by delivering afternoon teas dressed as a dinosaur.
Suzanne Halliwell, who runs Dolly’s Tearoom in Darwen, will be offering ‘Dino Deliveries’ on Thursday, Friday and Saturday to create a little joy for children, as well as raising funds for Darwen Food Share.
The T-Rex afternoon teas will be delivered to your doorstep by a member of staff dressed in a huge dinosaur costume, and they include sandwiches, gourmet sausage rolls, cupcakes, crisps and sweets.
Ms Halliwell said: “The main aim is simply to see the children have some fun, break the monotony of lockdown and hopefully make a little money for Darwen Food Share."
She is keen to note that social distancing will be enforced and the offer is for doorstep delivery only, with £1 of every order going to Darwen Food Share, a group offering hot meals for those in food crisis. Visit Dolly’s Tearoom on Facebook.
