CORONAVIRUS infection rates are decreasing in all but two areas of Ribble Valley.
Analysis of the Government’s Covid-19 infections map shows that the rate has increased in two places, with everywhere else recording a dip in new cases and infections.
Of the places with an increased rate, Read, Sabden and Chatburn recorded the biggest rise, after 20 new cases in the seven days to February 7 brought the area’s infection rate to 265.5 cases per 100,000 people.
Of the areas that recorded decreases in infection rates, Wilpshire and Mellor has the lowest infection rate showed the biggest dip, with just 7 new infections taking the rolling rate to 81.4 cases per 100,000 people, which is also lower than the national average.
All information displays a localised seven–day rolling rate of new cases up to 7 February 2021 and is correct per the Government’s coronavirus portal on February 12.
