A CAR was stolen last night from outside a house in Heaton with sightings of a group of three men approaching the vehicle in an old white van reported by residents.

A grey Ford Fiesta was taken from outside an address on Sixth Avenue and neighbours believe it happened at around 10.40pm.

The vehicle's registration plate is EU65 YVZ.

CCTV footage shows two men approaching the car before one of them breaks into it and gets the vehicle started in less than three minutes.

When the car thief gets the engine going his accomplice runs out of sight, believed to be towards a white van driven by a third man, and the Fiesta leaves the scene.

Greater Manchester Police are investigating.
