Using Tripadvisor we have tracked down pizza places in and around Blackburn with the highest customer rating- and they are open tonight for delivery.

1. Tiggis Ribble, Clayton-Le-Dale

According to Tripadvisor, this is one of the best pizza places near Blackburn.

It has a 4/5 star rating with reviewers raving about the pizza options available here.

Pizza range from £7.50-£10 with the most expensive pizza made with parma ham, tomato, mozzarella cheese, rocket, parmesan and fresh tomato.

One person wrote: “Pizzas are of the high standard you'd expect from an Italian restaurant beating standard pizza/kebab takeaway any day”

Another wrote: “Would definitely recommend [eating here] through lockdown if you need cheering up with a hearty Italian meal!”

2. Sliders Pizza and Grill, Plane Street

Sliders Pizza and Grill has a 3.5/5 rating on Trip advisor and an impressive 5/6 star rating on JustEat.

Their menu is expansive with more than 30 pizzas to choose from.

As well as the classic pepperoni and margherita they also have more experimental flavours on the menu, like the ‘mixed stir fry’ and chicken vindaloo.

If you don’t fancy a pizza, calzones kebabs and burgers are also available.

One happy reviewer said: “Honestly, you will not get a better pizza anywhere in Lancashire… pizzas from here are absolutely amazing.”

Another had high praise for Slider’s peri peri pizza as well as the gourmet burgers.

3. Pizza Island, Watford Street

The food at Pizza Island is said to be made fresh using 100% mozzarella cheese.

Best of all, the pizzas are affordable ranging from £3.50-£7.50 depending on where you order from and which pizza you select.

The seafood pizza and Asian style pizza are two unique flavours on the menu.

One customer only had positive things to say about the “awesome pizzas”.

They wrote: “Love the pizzas from here! So tasty and spicy- just the way I like them.

“Brilliant service and friendly staff. Definitely buy pizzas from here if you like a spicy, Asian twist to your pizzas.”

Another reviewer said: “Amazing food, it was hot and on time. Definitely going to order again soon.”

4. Checco’s, Whalley Road

Checco’s is just outside Blackburn in Great Harwood- but according to the reviews it must be tried if you live nearby.

This restaurant has an impressive 4/5 star rating on Tripadvisor and the majority of the 218 reviews are positive.

The 12 inch pizzas look decadent with flavours ranging from margherita right up to pescatore (prawns, tuna and garlic).

The most expensive pizza on the menu is the meat pizza which is £10.95; this comes with a generous coating of chicken, meatballs, ham and salami.

One reviewer wrote:  “Whether you want to order a take away or dine in the quaint, quirky restaurant, you will never be disappointed.”

5. Mr. Joe’s Burger & Milkshakes, Shear Brow

According to their website, the pizzas at Mr. Joe’s are made with only the freshest dough and ingredients.

Many of the pizzas has a quirky name including the Indian Joe (Tandoori chicken, sweetcorn, green peppers and green chillies) as well as the blazing saddle (Chicken, green peppers, mushroom, sweetcorn, jalapeno peppers and herbs).

The pizzas are also ideal for people on a budget, ranging from  £3.30- £8.50 depending on size and toppings.

One reviewer wrote: “[They serve] the cheesiest pizza in town.

“Consistent and perfect every time- Worth every penny!”

Another said: “We got some takeout pizza from this place… the pizza and a drink was very cheap, would definitely go and get some again.”

Pizza deals at Domino's and Pizza Hut

If none of these places take your fancy, you could always order in a classic Domino's or Pizza Hut.

At Dominos it's 'Two for Tuesday', meaning you buy one pizza and get another completely free. 

Dominos also released a new pizza yesterday (8 February) called 'The Absolute Banger'.
 

This pizza is topped with pepperoni, chorizo, sausage and hot dog.

Pizza Hut also has a deal on for National Pizza Day where you get 50 per cent off when you spend £25 or more.
